Elon Musk became the richest person in the world by leaving Jeff Bezos behind.
After four years, another American succeeded in becoming the richest person in the world, ending Jeff Bezos’ dominance in the rankings.
Tesla’s automotive CEO and space company SpaceX, now the world’s richest person, now has more than $18,597 billion in wealth thanks to Tesla’s stock raising. At the beginning of this year, he had only $27 billion in wealth and was the 50th in the rankings.
Now, each Tesla share has reached $790, thus estimating the company’s market value at about $737.6 billion.
Since Tesla’s initial stock offering in 2010, the value of each share of the automaker has increased more than 140 times (14,000 percent). Also, since the beginning of this year, the value of Tesla Group shares has increased by about 580 percent. The company’s profitability is expected to remain positive despite the coronavirus outbreak and declining global demand. Tesla had earlier become the world’s most valuable car brand on July 1, leaving Toyota behind, and now a large number of those who bought the company’s shares in its initial offering have become millionaires.
In addition to Tesla Automobiles, thanks to the value of SpaceX’s shares, it has also grown significantly in recent months. Elon Musk has added more than $150 billion to his wealth over the past year.
The California-based Tesla Automotive Group is more active in the production of self-driving and electric vehicles, founded in July 2003. According to Bloomberg, Jeff Bezos is currently the CEO of Amazon’s online store with more than $184 billion in wealth, the second-richest person in the U.S. and the world, followed by Bill Gates, Bernard Arno, Mark Zuckerberg and Steve Ballmer.
