World’s first robotic kitchen built

The British company has claimed to have produced the world’s first robotic kitchen with a skilled, integrated robot in a luxury kitchen that cooks and prepares food at just the touch of a button. The kitchen has two robotic arms that can naturally mimic human hand gestures when preparing food.

“This means that this robotic kitchen, just like a human chef, can evaluate the ingredients in the smart fridge and take out the ingredients, then adjust the temperature of the stove, pick up dishes from the sink and serve the prepared food on the plate,” the company wrote in a press release about the new product. The robot even cleans the kitchen itself.

The manufacturer says achieving such an advanced robotic kitchen was not an easy thing to do, and to achieve it, a team of 100 engineers, product designers and luxury interior designers and three award-winning chefs was done.

“Molly Robotics” claims that the system’s behavior is not like a machine, but rather it has and depicts human skills.

This robotic kitchen uses a combination of sensors and cameras to perform its tasks and even uses a visual system that can detect waste and food poured from containers and clean it before and after cooking.

Currently, the system can produce 30 foods defined by the world’s leading chefs, but new foods will always be added to it. The company plans to soon have a digital menu with more than 5,000 choices.

The company has also managed to develop an innovative “pro-recipe” software tool that allows users to plan their favorite recipes for the robot.
